As leader of the Green Party of Canada, Mike will be the voice for Canadians who want a thriving, clean economy and a just society. Together, we will fight for a government that prioritizes people, by building an economy that works for the 99%, while taking decisive action on the climate emergency. We will protect and expand our democracy, and push for Canada to lead international efforts for a more peaceful, equitable, and stable world.

“What is the pathway for getting Greens elected?”
We will build on our strengths. Greens have been elected provincially in BC, Ontario, and in the Maritimes. We’ll start where our roots are strongest and grow from the seeds already planted. But also, all over the country, there are stellar progressive candidates – climate and energy champions, experts in the non-profit housing sector, small business innovators – who’ve been holding off running for the party in recent troubled years.

Frustrated with watching the federal government ignore climate promises and let down his community, Mike Morrice was first inspired to run to represent Kitchener Centre in 2019.
He serves as the Deputy Leader of the Green Party of Canada, and served as the Member of Parliament for Kitchener Centre from 2021 to 2025 – the first Green MP ever elected in Ontario.
